Duncan Hall Foyer

Upon entering Duncan Hall through the handsome double front doors, one sees beautiful walnut paneled walls and marble floors. The vestibule opens into a wide hall from which one gains entrance to the two ground floor side parlors, two cloak rooms, the disability entrance, and the large auditorium with adjoining dining room and kitchen. Through the left hallway cloak room is the director's office, a bathroom, the Sarah Duncan Room and a kitchen. There are two very nice upholstered benches near the front entrance.
The lighting fixtures are ornate bronze. Please note the detailed plasterwork in this area. Two stairways lead to the upper floor which has two side parlors, a central hall, a kitchenette, a bathroom, and entrances to the auditorium balcony. In the foyer over the ornately carved mahogany table is a plaque about Thomas Duncan, founder of Duncan Electrical Manufacturing Company, an inventor, and a benefactor to the citizens of Lafayette
